Diss?!

Evil arrived today and first thing she did was stick her tongue at me ;D LOL She's so goddam cute! I loved the prototype drawing, then was a little disappointed with the first photos of her but not anymore, I think she's adorable! ^___________^

I can't wait to put her in other combos, even her hair is mixable with Emi's, the colour difference is very slight - Evil's hair is just a taaad darker.

Even best friends argue...

Finally the sun made a short, but so very welcome, appearance on Sunday. England, or at least the Midlands sure live up to the reputation, it's been mostly gray and damp in the past month. I guess that's why I've been less (camera) trigger happy than normal.

As my camera was getting rest, I was working on some customs for my Pinkies. I've just finished a cheongsum, a jacket and the green dress in the photo. I've also have two pairs of custom legs in the process, I hope to finish them this week. Fingers crossed. Because I've just started work on pinky-street.com version 4.0 and that's going to take most of my free time now. Maybe it'd be better if the weather stayed gray? XD

Whooosh... !

Tamae is one of my favourite faces, and yet, I don't seem to take photos of her recently. Must be all those newer faces I'm being distracted by. She's so cool she needed a good outfit and I'm quite pleased with this one :D It suits her.

Mai: Over the Shoulder

The weather's been good (for England) but the sun doesn't always cooperate. I've gotten my camera somewhat wet the day before when taking photos of Maki, eek! The new macro blurs out the background nicely so no one can see the crappy surroundings I have nearby :D Now I'm just waiting for the battery to charge, I managed to completely drain it.

I love my new camera but not having a screen that can be flipped out sucks. The best feature of my old canon A95 was that the screen could be tilted and moved how you like it so photographing low subjects didn't kill your knees. It's a godsend for toy photographers. The Canon 400D doesn't even show you a preview of the photo on the LCD screen. Bummer. Still love it though :D

(back from a long absence on vox *blush*)

I finally got myself a macro adapter. I love the depth of field it gives - the only bad thing about it is that it distorts at the ages when fully zoomed out. But I guess it's no big deal, as long as I'm aware of it, I can compensate or work around it.

The Miiko and Maki repaints have arrived! There are some awesome pieces, though some make make me go, "what were they thinking?!" Miiko's eyes are a strange shade of green. or is it teal? It's too close to the shade of the default background for Window 98, not a good thing! LOL And, unfortunately, the quality is just poor. I've been lucky so far, never got any major defects, even my repaints B were good, when many P-S.com forum members' were terrible. Well, it was bound to happen, statistically speaking :D, and these releases are awful. Maki has a seam/scratch on her pretty face. So far, I haven't managed to photograph it, which is good, at least doesn't show. But in real life, you can see it. The top she's wearing in the photo below, has glue on the arms, and fibres stuck to it >_> The pink dress has glue overspill in the "armpits", looks like bubbles. Overall, the paint is nasty, it spills onto the skin or other colours, but the worse is the pink bag, the paint is worse than on bootlegs. I'm disappointed, but they are worth having. Is that addiction speaking? :D

I wanted to see how this lovely paper photographs (am I the only one who loves paper? :D) I love its texture, I might just pick up a couple more in different colours, I think they had yellow and orange too...

The girls' outfits matched the colour of it so it seemed only natural to get them in there somewhere.
